Always loved singing. Around age 11 I tried to teach myself guitar using a few method
books; later I added lessons for structure. I am a basic chord strummer, but that
simple sound/structure provided inspiration for most of my original music.
Raised on a farm in a small town in southeast Nebraska. Currently live with my wife
in a Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex suburb.
High school
In high school was involved in chorus, swing choir, speech, drama (played Charlie Brown in "Snoopy" and
Prof. Harold Hill in "The Music Man"), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and football.
College
Graduated from University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) with a
degree in Computer Engineering. Member of Triangle Fraternity; participated in Men's Glee Club,
ACM, Tau Beta Pi and the Honors Program.
Other Music Endeavors
Since 1997, member of the Doo-Wop a cappella quartet 4 Ever Young,
partner with The Reflections Band since 2011.
Sang with barbershop choruses (Men of Note / Big "D") from 1996 to 2002.
Performed the National Anthem at Texas Rangers games with Timeless Melodies.
